Tone 'Thing' Imperial Kemper Pack

$17.00

More bite than a Deluxe Reverb, more refined than an old Tweed Fender. The amp profiled in this pack is a design by Mark Bartel for tone hunters. This amp has the most beautiful 3-dimentional clean sound, with the punch and attack to match. Mark Knopfler calls it the “king of clean” for a reason…

Amp Specs: 2014 Tone King Imperial (mk.i). Sovtek 12ax7WA x4, Sovtek 5AR4, 6V6 EH x2. 20 watts.

Note: Recently, the Tone King Mk.ii was released, and in MY OWN OPINION, the amp sounds quite different than this one. It features active attenuation on the lead channel, which while it still sounds great, is fairly different from the output tube drive circuit of the original mk.I.

19 studio profiles and 8 direct profiles of varying gain and pedal inclusion. Profiles are dry, but include my preferred effects presets.

Key

Lead: The “tweed” voiced channel. Notable for a mid-heavy tone. The gain from this channel comes from output tube saturation, as the preamp is voiced to shape the tone of the signal driving the output stage so that the output stage is driven.

Rhythm: The “blackface” voiced channel. Notable for a fuller, rounder sound aimed towards clean and light-gain tones.

Klon: Clean/Treble Boosted with a Klon KTR

KOT: Overdrive from an Analogman King of Tone
