'48 Gibbon BR-9
'48 Gibbon BR-9
A somewhat obscure, and strangely not-so-rare early Gibson Amplifier. These were sold in tandem with a student model lap steel of the same name. Now referred to as “the discount Fender Champ”, the BR-9 stays surprisingly clean for being a small amplifier. It still maintains a nice harmonic richness throughout its clean tones though, and can really sound full and balanced for genres like Jazz or Americana.
